11/15 The Ben McMullen-Muskegon Open attracted 250 wrestlers representing sixteen colleges. Two Muskegon Community College wrestlers reached the finals and six others placed in the top four. The two finalist were 125 Tom Webster (Pine River) and 285 David Charneski (Hartland). Third place winners were 125 Aaron Sessa (Lake Central, IN), 165 David Johnson (Howard City), 184 Seth Holt (Grand Haven), and 197 Eric Madill (Grayling). Placing 4^th was 197 Justin Leonard (Webberville). Corey Moore (Muskegon CC-unattached) was first at 184 pounds.

 

 

11/22/08   The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks wrestled well at the Concordia University Open in Mequon, WI. The tournament attracted almost 400 wrestlers from twenty-six colleges. Three Jayhawks finished in the top eight; 125 Tom Webster (5-2), 149 Deven Brown (3-2), and 165 Pat Mehan (3-2). At 157, Cody Groeneveld went 4-2 on the day.

 

11/23/08   197 lb. champion, Justin Leonard, and six other Muskegon Community College wrestlers placed in the Grand Valley State University Fall Laker Open. Second place finishers for the Jayhawks were 141 Chris Harris and 174 Kinian Mack. Taking third place were 125 Jarrard Edwards, 133 Cody Carpenter, and 165 Jacob Blackmer. At 184, Ben Hand finished fourth.
