Study to be an EMT at MCC

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will continue to increase over the next decade. Certified EMTs have rewarding careers working in ambulances, fire stations, hospitals, senior care facilities, special response teams, helicopter companies, and much more!

You can complete the Basic EMT Training Course with just 3 classes, with no pre-requisites! Register for EMT 297R and EMT 297T this winter, take EMT 297S this summer, and you’ll be a certified EMT by August! These classes are an excellent choice for those studying criminal justice, fire science, and other areas of the helping professions.

The details for the Winter 2011 classes are as follows: EMT 297R is 8 credits and meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10pm. EMT 297T is a clinical course and those days and times will be arranged. Both courses are on line and available for registration at this time. Pending program approval by the State of Michigan, classes begin January 11.

The Summer course is EMT 297S. It is 4 credits and will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10pm for 7.5 weeks.
